Pick a Pup for me!

Hello everyone from the United Kingdom of Great Rain and Northern Coldland! Yes, I left Summer on Sydney's wonderful harbour and landed smack in middle of the Oxfordshire Autumn, beautiful though it is!

Lovey is enjoying her new home full of four kids, fifteen rabbits and, yes, count them, forty guinea pigs! They have a farm and an enclosed pen full of clover in which to frolic and play, and get loads of fresh crunchy veggies to eat - yum!

Now I find myself completely without an animal. First things first, a home:

No, that's too big...

...cute, but too small....

...almost...we're getting somewhere.

In the meantime I find myself awed by Oxford's dreaming spires and the surrounding countryside where people have been really nice. But when I find a place, I will need a pooch! Please keep suggestions coming: what kind of puppy should I get? I like big-ish dogs, but I think I like to be able to pick them up if I can, do not mind fur everywhere, drooling can be a bit of a bore, prefer pricked ears, but will consider floppies, prefer non-smoker!

Well we are rather fond of mutts here. Fenris is supposedly a Great Pyreenes/Australian Shephred Mix and we thinks he is great. We probably misspelled stuff Mommy isn't around to help so please forgive us. ~S,S,C & F

We agree with the other comments. You'll know your dog when you see him/her.

Good to hear from you again! Happy house hunting! Glad to hear Lovey is now part of such a big family.

Oh you certainly will find the right dog in time to come. But from the sound of it, you still love a sheltie :-)

We sure hope you find Oxford house to your liking. Wowsers it should be interesting. As for a dog, we think a Sheltie or Collie are the best. You are living in the area where both breeds started too.

If it is a Sheltie, we think Ludow can tell you where the best are raised.

Congratulations on your move, trust you are getting settled in.
(We think you should have chosen that house you said was "too big"... !!!)
Whatever pooch you choose will find a place in your heart and home...
(we, too, like mutts)

Woohoo! It's so good to hear from you again and those photos are just lovely. You'll need more than one dog if you're going to buy that castle!!!

gosh - you move around too much

doesn't matter what or who you choose

but one who needs a home that someone else has discarded would be a good start

Master and Misery went to Blue Cross and found them v good

enjoy your new life

We are partial to Shelties. But, that's because we are shelties! HA! Ask Ludo, he comes from a good line. Check out Fizz, he is Ludo's half brother.

Hello Orable and Lovely!! We've missed you and we must say we often think of Charlie to be honest with you!! We're happy that it sounds like you're doing well after a big move.

Since many of our relatives live there, we almost suggest to find a Cav family :D BUT there are many many friends who need a forever home. We're sure your heart tells you when you meet the ONE.

Happy Holidays!
