Friday Morning

Hello Everyone - yes, I'm still here in my little paddock. There has been a lot of hullaballoo in the human world lately, especially about the recent political election. I don't meddle in human affairs myself, and even if I did, they never let me vote. And all of you politically-opinionated animals out there: they won't let you vote, either, so give it up. It is true, I suppose, we can exert some influence over our humans at the polls, but I sort of gave that up after Goldwater. I guess I'm just so disappointed that Tosca did not win the election - even though we all knew where to write-in "Doggone Party!"

As a pleasant diversion, I am having a special event on my blog: The First Annual Gilbert and Sullivan Gala Photo Contest! Send a photo of yourself in your favourite Gilbert and Sullivan opera character costume (any way your human can dress you in it, even if it is photoshopped) to mighty_munk at yahoo dot com dot au by 10 December and winners will be posted before Christmas holidays begin - there will be lots of categories, too, and an extra-special photo gallery. The judges will consist of a panel of non-blogging animal lovers- their photos to be posted.



As I did not tolerate my human dressing me up, he he, she gave up and photoshopped this promotional photo of me as Nanki-poo from The Mikado. I the event of there not being any interest across blogland, my human and I will instead gorge ourselves on ice cream and pass out on the beach - mmmm, not bad, either. Pardon me, though, friends, I must go and hide, or play dead or something - I have heard the word B-A-T-H...
